My dear,

Work in public. Reveal nothing.

Work publicly so that your mind resembles more of a public swimming pool than of a private one. Work in public so that people get easy access to your pool of a mind. Work in public so that the waters of your pool don’t stay calm (vacant) for long; calmness of the mind is death in disguise. And reveal nothing.

Be more of an opaque pool than one of transparency. That is to say be a pool that aims to be an ocean; deep, practically bottomless, and filled with wonders; than one that aims to remain a pool.

Falsely yours,
Robin Sloan
