My dear,

The thing I like about wisdom over intelligence is that you have to earn it.

Nobody in this world was ever handed wisdom. It’s always earned through failure, experience, connections and collections of knowledges, and more failure.

I like that.

It means that if you want to be wise, you’ve got to go after it with all your heart.

No man was ever wise by chance.

If you ever get the chance to cross paths with someone wise, respect them and lend them your ear, they’ve earned that wisdom, and that’s not a small feat.

Falsely yours,
Lucius Annaeus Seneca
