My dear,

For almost seventy years the life insurance industry has been a smug sacred cow feeding the public a steady line of sacred bull.

And the thing is, the life insurance industry is a whole lot bigger, and includes a lot more people than you thought.

The life insurance company includes the people that say you shouldn’t quit your job in search of a riskier better life, they say what you have is good enough – a lot of people aren’t as fortunate as you after-all. The life insurance company includes the people that say that you should spend your twenties, thirties, and forties working your ass off without rest and then, only then, can you enjoy your life – not earlier. And the life insurance company includes the people who, seeing the internet’s vast amount of information, go ahead and still say that spending all your money on college and going into massive debt is the only way to get a ‘proper’ education.

… Like I said, smug cows feeding us sacred bull. My tip, close your mouth, don’t eat the food.

Falsely yours,
Ralph Nader
