My dear,

What is a man if not his habits? Is the writer a writer if he doesn’t write? Is the painter a painter if she does not paint? Is she a mother if she doesn’t take care of her kids everyday?

No. Without your habits you are empty.

First we form habits, then they form us.

First we seek what we love, then we form habits to grasp a little of that love everyday (the writer’s habit is to write everyday, the painter’s to paint). And overtime those self-formed habits make us who we are.

You are nothing if not your habits.

Falsely yours,
Rob Gilbert
