My dear,

Do you know what tales of the turtle and the hare teach us?

It does not matter how slowly you go so long as you do not stop.

At a young age, these stories try to put in us the idea (and what a maginificent idea to have put in us as children) that as long as you do not stop your progress shall count for something. They tell us to not worry about whether or not someone has passed us in our slowness. For in the end we shall reach the finish line… if we don’t give up and stop.

I think we adults could learn plenty from the stories we recite to our children. If they keep the light in them on for one more day, they can do the same for us.

Falsely yours,
Confucius
