My dear,

To become a leader you must know how to walk your own path, so you can show other how to follow their own paths. You must explain your thoughts and actions to yourself rightfully, so that you can explain them to others simple-ly. And you must be able to break the rules everyone follows (like those of grammar), knowing that you’re breaking them for a reason; for those that follow you are going to ask you why, and you must give them a truthful answer for they’ll abandon you for anything less than the truth.

To become a leader you must first become a good person.

Becoming a leader is synonymous with becoming yourself. It is precisely that simple, and it is also that difficult.

And it is never done.

Falsely yours,
Warren Gamaliel Bennis
