Like stupidity.

If it’s stupid to try any further than you’ve already tried, then stop. For Pete’s sake, stop. You shouldn’t keep going just because some oft-referred to quote out there told you to keep going no matter what. You shouldn’t be peer pressured into continuing.

If at first you don’t succeed, try, try again; then quit. There’s no use being a damn fool about it.
