My dear,

What is reality? Is it the written laws you obey? The unwritten ones you follow? Or the daily habits you go through?

Reality is merely an illusion, albeit a very persistent one.

You don’t really have to drive when the lights are green, or stop when the lights are red. Or tell ‘white lies’ instead of saying the harsh truth, just so someone’s feelings aren’t hurt. Or find a life partner in order to find true happiness. Or own a home. Or a car. Or a television. Or sleep at night, or work in the day time. Or even work for a living if you want to. You’re just following the illusion everyone says you have to follow because it’s the one we all wake up to every day.

But here’s a secret, with a lot of hard work you can create your own illusion, your own reality.

Falsely yours,
Albert Einstein
