My dear,

He who opens a school door, closes a prison.

He who opens a school door to a good school; a school in which students are seen as minds with potential unbound, a school in which the teachers do more than read and test from the schoolbooks, a school in which more questions are given than answers, deserves praise of the highest kind.

We live in a world that praises the being who grew the richness of their company to new heights, a world that praises the being that grew the richness of their wardrobe to new standards, yet we hardly praise the being(s) that grew the richness of the human soul and mind one by one through education.

Rich minds think before they act, rich souls love before they hate, and people rich in both do not go to prison.

Praise the bringers of education, for they close prison doors… one student at a time.

Falsely yours,
Victor-Marie Hugo
