My dear,

The misfits wake up to being called ‘weird’ every day. The misfits see too much, too little, too fast, and too slow. The misfits dress differently. The misfits talk differently. The misfits care too much. The misfits appear to care not at all. The misfits are too shy. The misfits aren’t shy enough. The misfits don’t know their place. The misfits don’t fit.

Yet… the misfits are not alone.

There’s a misfit in each of us, and it’s the most delicate, precious thing that we have.

Sadly, most people make it their life’s mission to hide it, to cover it over in the same clothes, and the same work as everyone else.

Falsely yours,
Dan Pallotta
