My dear,

When you get better, become the best in fact – you’re not done.

The better you get, the better you better get.

Do work twice as fast as everyone, and people will expect you to go thrice as fast. Break a new record, and you better break a new one next year. Release version 1.0 of a product today, and version 2.0 better be out by next year.

The better you get, the better you better get.

Some see this as a reason to be pessimistic and stop trying altogether. Other’s see this for quiet the opposite.

How do you see it?

Will you get better knowing it’s a never-ending quest of learning and improvement? Or stop because of that exact reason?

Falsely yours,
David Allen
