Quiet a few people are saying that Christmas and the winter holidays are not necessary. That they’re just a ploy to market more goods to the people of the world. And that we should discontinue them.

I say nah! Christmas is a necessity.

There has to be at least one day of the year to remind us that we’re here for something else besides ourselves.

The other holidays just don’t have that special “good cheerings for all” feeling that Christmas and the winter holidays bring.
