Before You Diagnose Yourself With Depression Or Low Self Esteem, First Make Sure That You Are Not, In Fact, Simply Surrounded By Assholes.

My dear,

I’m not a licensed doctor or anything, so I can’t prescribe you any medication, but I gotta say:

Before you diagnose yourself with depression or low self esteem, first make sure that you are not, in fact, simply surrounded by assholes.

The best cures in life are to either surround yourself with people that bring you up, or to lose all the people that bring you down. Gain the good, lose the bad, and what not.

Those few words, if you really listen to them, are worth a thousand prescriptions. Maybe a billion.

Falsely yours,
William Ford Gibson
